The Middle East is a region where cars and truck is king and fuel is low-cost, frequently leaving little incentive to find more environmentally-friendly methods of moving.
But this year, as across the Middle East have actually pushed up the cost of oil, the problem of finding alternative sources of fuel has come into sharp focus.
In an area that has one of the highest carbon footprints on the planet, one company is taking benefit of the growing pressure to discover options to oil. It’s established the Middle East’s very first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It’s showing successful too, already their client-list contains McDonald’s.
